Affordable Compact Cars Coming in 2025 From Hyundai, Tata, Nissan & Renault Under ₹10 Lakh

If you’re planning to buy a budget car this year, there’s good news. The compact car market in India is about to get exciting. Big names like Hyundai, Renault, Tata and Nissan are all set to bring new cars under ₹10 lakh. These cars will target first-time buyers and people looking to upgrade from small hatchbacks.

Let’s take a look at the upcoming cars that promise style, features and affordability in one package.

Next-Gen Hyundai Venue to Arrive With New Looks

Hyundai is preparing to launch the second-generation Venue in India. This popular compact SUV has already been spotted testing a few times. The new model is expected to launch towards the end of this year.

The upcoming Venue will get a fresh design. The front may borrow styling cues from the bigger Creta. The bumper, grille and LED lights will likely be sharper and more modern. Inside the cabin, Hyundai may add a new dashboard layout with better quality materials. The feature list could also get longer with connected tech and wireless charging.

Under the hood, the Venue will continue to offer the same set of engines. These include the 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Buyers will also get manual, iMT and DCT gearbox options based on the variant.

Renault Kiger Facelift to Get Cosmetic Changes

Renault is also planning to update its compact SUV, the Kiger. The facelifted model is likely to launch around Diwali. The changes won’t be too major, but enough to keep it fresh in the market.

Expect new LED headlamps, revised bumpers, and new alloy wheels. The Kiger facelift may also debut the brand’s updated logo in India. Inside, the cabin layout could be slightly tweaked, with better materials and a few added features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Engine choices will remain the same. You will still get the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. Both will be paired with manual, AMT or CVT transmissions.

Tata Punch Facelift Inspired by Its EV Version

Tata Motors is working on a facelifted version of the Punch micro-SUV. While there’s no confirmed date yet, the updated version is expected to look a lot like the Punch EV. The front styling, grille design and lighting elements could be borrowed from the electric model.

Inside the cabin, the Punch facelift may get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster and new fabric options. The engine will stay the same. It will continue with the 1.2-litre petrol motor along with the factory-fitted CNG option.

This update will make the Punch more modern without increasing the cost too much. That’s great news for buyers looking for a city car with SUV styling.

New Nissan 7-Seater Compact MPV on the Way

Nissan is entering the affordable MPV space with an all-new 7-seater compact model. This new car will be based on the Renault Triber’s CMF-A platform. It is expected to launch during FY 2025–2026.

The teaser shows a modern and smart-looking design. The front looks bold and sleek, with high-set headlamps and sculpted bumpers. It will be a three-row MPV but smaller than full-size models like the Ertiga.

Under the hood, it will get a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 72 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. Buyers will have the option to choose between a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. This MPV will offer value-for-money for families on a tight budget.
