Royal Enfield is known for its loud thump, retro charm and solid road presence. But now, the brand is shifting gears. And this time, it’s going electric. In the next few years, Royal Enfield plans to launch multiple electric and hybrid motorcycles in India. These new models will be very different from the classic Bullets and Meteors we see today.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 to Arrive Before March 2026
The first electric motorcycle from Royal Enfield will be the Flying Flea C6. It was first shown at EICMA 2024. After that, it was displayed in Indian cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, and Bengaluru. Now, the C6 has been spotted testing on Indian roads.
The design is neo-retro. It has a round LED headlamp, a colorful touchscreen digital console, voice assist, ride modes, and even OTA updates. That’s a big jump for a company known for analog dials and metal tanks.
The front suspension is a forged aluminum girder type. It gives the C6 a unique look and function. The battery will be fixed, not swappable, but will support fast charging. Royal Enfield hasn’t shared full specs yet. But insiders say the performance will match a 250 to 300cc petrol bike. Expect a range of 200 to 220 km per full charge.
Royal Enfield 250cc Hybrid in the Works for Budget Buyers
Royal Enfield is also preparing a hybrid motorcycle. Yes, a hybrid. And it won’t be big and expensive. It will be a new 250cc model, priced below the current Hunter 350. The company is sourcing the engine from CFMoto in China.
The hybrid bike is aimed at entry-level buyers. The expected price is around Rs 1.30 lakh ex-showroom. In comparison, the Hunter 350 starts from Rs 1.50 lakh. This new bike is expected to deliver a mileage of 50+ kmpl, which makes it a strong option for fuel-conscious riders.
The bike will be made locally in Chennai with nearly 90% local content. The 250cc platform has been codenamed ‘V’. The company is still developing it, and the launch may happen by mid-2027.
Flying Flea S6 Will Join the Lineup by End of 2026
The Flying Flea S6 is Royal Enfield’s second electric motorcycle under the new sub-brand. It’s a scrambler. It will share most parts with the C6, but it will be taller and more off-road-ready.
The S6 will have more suspension travel. The design will include different side panels, giving it a fresh look. It will also be quicker from 0 to 60 kmph compared to the C6. So if you want something electric but rugged, the S6 could be a better pick.
Both the C6 and S6 are expected to bring a fresh customer base to Royal Enfield. Riders who want EV tech but still love classic design may find these models perfect for them.
